The OCOL Team
We’re a tight-knit bunch dedicated in our quest to producing the “perfect” live performance.
Although we’re all specialists in our field, we’re super invested in what each other is doing. So we all know the ins and outs of the various roles in the project.
Richard / Musician & Producer
From winter camping on hills to get the perfect sunrise, to techno on a boat in the middle of the sea, most of the projects wild ideas come from Richard (the best ideas come in the shower!).
Richard has a long history of producing art and musical performances that push the boundaries of what is possible, in spaces that are often not conventional.
His art and music often involves complex technological ideas that challenge Toby & the team to work out how to make possible.
Toby / Director & DJ
Toby is our chief technical guy. He’s also the boss when we broadcast. He directs everything live and tells us all what to do. All the camera feeds are cut together and broadcast live by Toby.
It’s down to Toby to make sure the broadcast goes out - and he’ll do everything to make this happen (even if it involves lines of Ethernet over cliffs…).
At an in-person event, Toby follows after Richard with a DJ set so that the party can continue into the night.
Stephanie / Drone Pilot & Harpist
Stephanie is our fashionista, making an art form of in-appropriate clothing to wear while flying the drone.
She’s also getting used to the fact that as a woman, everyone is always surprised when it turns out she’s the drone pilot (we don’t think she should, but that’s been reality).
We also think she’s the only drone flyer whose showreel contains only live footage. Maybe one day she’ll make a film in post, but not yet…
Zach / Camera-Man & Cool Guy
Zach’s the cool guy on the team. He knows whats hot on TikTok and what’s trending.
He’s also a dab hand with a camera and gimbal. Our claim to fame is that he has learnt all that as part of being on the project.
Zach’s been involved in Richard’s projects for a long time, and is still happy to get involved.
